One summer, the valley forgot rain. High above lived one tiny cloud. The great grey clouds rumbled past.
She called, but the giants rumbled past. Below her, the sunflower bent lower daily. She squeezed hard and made one tiny drop.
So she stretched thin to shade her friend. All day she held her shadow over him. At sunset the sunflower fell, and she wept.
Her tears fell as rain all night. The cracked earth drank and drank. The morning mist made her whole again.
And the little cloud slept, dreaming of rain.
